If the name Mike Schur means anything to you — and if you’ve seen The Good Place or Parks and Recreation, it absolutely should — then this announcement is going to have you doing a happy dance. Netflix has just officially revealed DANG!, a brand new adult animated comedy series that reunites some of the sharpest comedy writing talent in television history. And yes, the exclamation mark is fully earned.

What’s DANG! Actually About?
DANG! follows a brother and sister duo living their chaotic, fun, wonderfully messy lives in New York City — until their worst nightmare arrives at the door: their high-achieving older sister shows up and wants to hang out. It’s the kind of deceptively simple premise that, in the right hands, becomes a goldmine of comedic gold. And these are absolutely the right hands.
Think the warm-but-witty character dynamics of The Good Place transplanted into the anarchic energy of an adult animated sitcom — with a New York edge that makes it feel fresh and distinctly 2026
The Dream Team Behind the Show
This is genuinely one of the most exciting creative lineups announced for Netflix this year. Showrunners Andrew Law (The Good Place, Hacks) and Matt Murray (Parks and Recreation, The Good Place) bring their proven track record of ensemble comedy brilliance. Executive producer Mike Schur — the genius behind The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Parks and Rec — adds his signature heart-and-laughs formula to the mix.
Alan Yang, co-creator of Netflix’s beloved Master of None, rounds out the producing team alongside animation heavyweights from Titmouse — the studio responsible for Big Mouth, The Legend of Vox Machina, and Scavengers Reign.
The voice cast is equally exciting: Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Poppy Liu (Netflix’s His & Hers), and Andrew Law himself lead the trio.
