We already know that Nvidia has made its GeForce RTX 3060 available for laptops. As such, we all can expect the OEMs to release them with attractive features in the market. Unfortunately, we can only get 8GB of RAM along with cheap cut specs. Seriously, if you want to reduce the machines’ prices, then don’t sell them with cheap hardware that ruins the fun of having a powerful graphics processor.

According to sources, currently, HP is the only OEM on our radar that offers a much better deal on a GeForce RTX 3060 laptop. The HP Omen 15z with 16 GB of RAM will net a final price of $1150 without any major cut corners.

In the laptop, HP is offering AMD’s latest Zen 3 Ryzen 5 5600H CPU, 144 Hz IPS display, and even two 256 GB NVMe SSDs in RAID 0 configuration. HP claims that the Omen 15z chassis is the latest design from the company.

The full spec of the laptop is given below:

  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600H CPU
  • 15.6-inch 144 Hz IPS 1080p display, 300 nits
  • GeForce RTX 3060 GPU w/ 6 GB GDDR6 VRAM
  • 2x 256 GB PCIe NVMe SSD (2x M.2, upgradeable)
  • 16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM (2x SODIMM, upgradeable)
  • 3x USB-A, 1x USB-C, HDMI 2.1, RJ-45, mini-DisplayPort, 3.5 mm combo audio
  • 70.9 Wh battery
  • 14.09 x 9.44 x 0.91 inches
  • 5.43 lbs

Still, it would have been nice if many OEMs provide high specs with a powerful CPU and GPU at affordable prices without cutting corners. Though we don’t see that happening any time soon.
