Tickets for the second Test which will begin from February 13 to 17, will be on sale from February 8, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) Secretary R S Ramaswamy said on Sunday.
He further added that almost 15,000 tickets will go on sale and will be only available in online mode. The ongoing opening Test between India and Australia, the first international game in India since the COVID-19 outbreak, is currently being played in Chennai behind closed doors.
Also, the media, who were not given the permission entry for the series, for the opening Test, would be given entry to cover the second. The three stands MA Chidambaram Stadium have a maximum capacity of 12,000 with each of them having three stands with a capacity of 4,000 seats apiece.
The second Test between India vs England will start at 9.30 AM IST and the toss will take place at 9 AM IST.
The tickets for India vs England 2nd Test will be made available for the public on the online website – www.paytm.com & www.insider.in and the use of the Paytm App and Paytm Insider App can be done from Monday 10 am to book your tickets. On the other hand, the process of redemption of the tickets will be at 10 AM on February 11 at the stadium, at Booth No.3, which is located on Victoria Hostel Road and Fans also strictly need to maintain the necessary social distancing in addition of wearing a mask.
For the first time since 2012, the I, J and K stand will be opened for the fans after they were sealed due to some issues during the 2011 world cup. However, only 50% of the seats at the stadium will be made available for the audience, and TNCA has already announced the prices for the tickets, as the daily ticket prices are ‘C, D, E’ Lower Rs. 100/-, ‘D, E’ Upper Rs. 150/-, ‘F, H, I, J, K’ Lower Rs. 150/- ‘I, J, K’ Upper Rs. 200/-.
