Nobody Wants This Season 3: Netflix Accidentally Confirms Renewal Before Official Announcement

When Netflix accidentally reveals your favorite show’s renewal, that’s when you know the love story continues. Nobody Wants This, the romantic comedy sensation starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, appears headed for Season 3 after eagle-eyed subscribers spotted a telling message on the streaming platform. With writers already working and fans desperate for more Noah and Joanne, here’s everything we know about the inevitable third season of 2024’s breakout rom-com hit.

Nobody Wants This Season 3 Status: Everything We Know

The Accidental Confirmation That Says Everything

Netflix may have jumped the gun. Multiple UK subscribers discovered “Another season is coming” listed on Nobody Wants This‘ page before the message mysteriously disappeared. While Netflix quickly scrubbed the evidence, screenshots captured the slip-up that essentially confirmed what fans already suspected.

This isn’t the first time streaming platforms have accidentally revealed renewals through their UI, but it’s particularly exciting for a show that’s captured hearts worldwide. Combined with other evidence, Season 3 seems all but guaranteed—it’s just waiting for the official rubber stamp.

For followers of streaming entertainment trends and renewal patterns, this accidental reveal follows Netflix’s established pattern with breakout hits.

Writers Already Hard at Work

According to WGA directory listings, the writers’ room for Season 3 officially opened, with work actively underway. Kristen Bell herself confirmed this development in an interview with Parade, stating: “The writer’s room is working right now.”

Bell carefully noted that the final renewal decision rests with Netflix—”that’s way above our pay grade”—but the fact that writers are already crafting Season 3 storylines speaks volumes. Studios don’t invest resources in speculative scripts unless renewal is virtually certain.

This behind-the-scenes progress means that if Netflix announces the renewal soon, production could begin relatively quickly, maintaining the show’s momentum and fan engagement.

Season 2’s Cliffhanger Setup Everything

The second season finale delivered both resolution and anticipation. After a devastating breakup at Morgan and Dr. Andy’s non-engagement party, Noah and Joanne found their way back to each other through honest conversations about faith, love, and compromise.

Joanne’s Conversion Journey: A heart-to-heart with Esther helped Joanne understand that converting to Judaism isn’t about grand religious epiphanies—it’s about loving the little things. As Esther wisely noted, “with or without Noah, Joanne is Jewish.” This realization sets up Joanne’s conversion arc for Season 3.

Noah’s Declaration: Noah finally accepted that his love for Joanne exceeds his religious concerns, declaring he wants nothing but to be with her. This represents massive character growth and removes the central obstacle that’s plagued their relationship.

The Reconciliation Kiss: Their romantic reunion promises Season 3 will focus less on “will they, won’t they” and more on the real challenges of interfaith relationships—family acceptance, religious study, and building a life together.

What to Expect in Season 3

Moving In Together: The natural next step after their reconciliation. Expect comedy gold as Joanne navigates living with Noah while beginning her conversion studies.

Winning Over Bina: Noah’s mother remains the toughest obstacle. Season 3 will likely show Joanne earning Bina’s respect through genuine engagement with Judaism and family traditions.

Engagement on the Horizon: Adam Brody hinted at the obvious progression in a USA Today interview: “There’s marriage, if they should want that… There’s children, if they should want that…” Expect a Season 3 finale engagement.

Sasha and Esther’s Separation: The married couple’s breakup creates rich storytelling opportunities. Will Esther date others? Could jealousy watching Sasha and Morgan’s friendship bring her back?

Morgan’s Journey: After her non-engagement, Morgan needs her own happy storyline—though hopefully not with Sasha, as their sibling-like friendship is too precious to complicate romantically.

For fans of character-driven romantic comedies, Season 3 promises deeper exploration of relationships beyond the initial spark.

Why Season 3 Feels Inevitable

Critical Acclaim: Season 2 boasts a 90% Rotten Tomatoes score, matching Season 1’s success

Viewership: Both seasons performed exceptionally well in Netflix’s top 10

Cultural Impact: The show sparked conversations about interfaith relationships and modern romance

Cast Chemistry: Bell and Brody’s undeniable connection keeps audiences invested

Creator’s Vision: Erin Foster clearly has more story to tell

Projected Timeline

If Netflix follows its established pattern:

• Season 1: September 26, 2024
• Season 2: October 23, 2025
• Season 3: November 2026 (projected)

The 13-month gap between seasons suggests late November 2026 is realistic, assuming no production delays and swift official renewal. With writers already working, this timeline seems achievable.

The Waiting Game

While the accidental UI message and active writers’ room strongly indicate renewal, Netflix hasn’t made it official yet. The streaming giant typically announces renewals based on viewership data from the first few weeks post-release.

Given Season 2’s strong critical reception and anticipated viewership numbers, an official announcement could come any day. The question isn’t if Season 3 happens—it’s when Netflix stops making us wait for the confirmation everyone already knows is coming.
