Samsung Digital Car Key: Quick Facts

How Digital Car Key Works

Built directly into Galaxy devices, Samsung Wallet’s Digital Car Key eliminates the need for physical keys. Users simply hold their smartphone near the vehicle to unlock or start it—no fumbling with key fobs required.

The standout feature? Key sharing. Owners can grant temporary access to friends and family for limited periods, managing permissions seamlessly through the app. Perfect for sharing vehicles without duplicating physical keys.

Madhur Chaturvedi, Senior Director at Samsung India, emphasizes this expands “connected and secure experiences within the Galaxy ecosystem,” making everyday driving hassle-free for more users.

Mahindra’s First-in-India Innovation

Mahindra Group becomes the first Indian OEM to integrate Digital Car Key functionality. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra’s Automotive Division, highlights how this feature complements their Electric Origin SUVs (XEV 9e and BE 6), which already impress with advanced technology and futuristic designs.

This partnership exemplifies Mahindra’s commitment to delivering premium, intelligent electric vehicles with exceptional ownership experiences—positioning Indian automakers at the forefront of connected car technology.
