Arsenal is considering a move for Real Madrid midfielder Martin Ødegaard

The Norweigan is not having a good time at the Spanish capital this season. He has joined Real Madrid in 2015. But he was loaned out several times since then. After spending some good seasons on loan he finally got his chance to play for the Spanish Champion. But he has made only 11 appearances this season. The 22 years old has played just five minutes in the last six games.

Exclusive: #AFC make approach to Real Madrid for Martin Odegaard. Madrid considering. Arteta big fan & Odegaard keen on regular first team football. Not a given, other interest in him. More on @SkySportsNews

Ødegaard wants more game time. So a move in this January will help him as well. Arsenal is trying to give him that opportunity. Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos who is in loan at Arsenal from Real Madrid suggested him to move. Ceballos said, “Young players need to play regularly.”

“At Real Madrid, I needed to know that I would have equal opportunities. I was obsessed with playing again.”

“I wasn’t getting minutes, but I realized it was best to work and reverse the situation and be important [with another club].”

“If I do this [go on loan], I’ll play again. It couldn’t have been any clearer.”

“I can tell you what happened to me in Madrid. I don’t know exactly what will happen with Martin Odegaard, but it is obvious that any player who wants to succeed at Madrid is going to grab the opportunity he has.”

Arsenal already had a busy January transfer window. They have already sold Sead Kolasinac to Schalke. Mesut Ozil is also on his way to Fenerbahce. Sokratis also agreed to terminate his contract yesterday. They are now just want to sign a new midfielder. If Martin Ødegaard agreed to join the Premier League side then it will be a great addition for the Gunners.
