Daayra: A Battle Of Ethics Inside The System

Daayra follows officer Raman Kumar’s team as they take action against suspects in a disputed encounter, only for another officer, Ajooni Kohli, to question whether the shooting was staged. What follows is a tense institutional conflict that pits duty against truth. With Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran leading, this crime drama promises complex moral gray zones rather than easy answers.

Vibe: Two Ordinary Guys, One Extraordinary Mess

Vibe takes a lighter route, following two hapless friends whose simple lives spiral after they accidentally stumble onto a major conspiracy. With Kunal Kemmu, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Preity G Zinta on board, expect a breezy mix of humor and unexpected stakes — a solid pick if you want laughs without switching off your brain entirely.

Lust Stories 3: The Anthology Returns

The third installment of the International Emmy-nominated Lust Stories anthology arrives with four unconnected short films exploring love, desire, and the messier realities of modern relationships. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra, and Vishal Bhardwaj, and featuring an ensemble that includes Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Vijay Varma, this one leans into thought-provoking storytelling over spectacle.

Love Lottery: A Marriage Under Suspicion

This drama digs into a crumbling marriage after a wife’s mysterious disappearance puts her husband under suspicion. It’s a slow-burn character study rather than a straightforward thriller, banking on tension between what’s said and what’s hidden.

Hunkkaar: The Roar — A Hard-Hitting Real-World Subject

Hunkkaar: The Roar tackles a teenager’s complaint against a powerful spiritual figure, following the officer determined to uncover the truth. It’s the kind of socially charged drama built to spark conversation well beyond its runtime.

Papa Yaar: Zakir Khan Gets Personal

Rounding off the week is Zakir Khan’s new stand-up special, built around memories of his father. Known for blending humor with genuine emotional weight, Khan’s latest special promises the same heartfelt storytelling that’s made his previous specials fan favorites.

Which One Should You Watch First?

If you want gripping drama, start with Daayra. For a lighter watch, Vibe is the easy pick. And if anthology storytelling is your thing, Lust Stories 3 is unmissable this week.
