50 Days of Situationship: Cha Woo Min and Jang Da A May Be Teaming Up for a Magical New K-Drama Romance

A love potion, 50 days, and one very unlucky intern — that’s the setup fueling the latest K-drama buzz. Reports suggest Cha Woo Min and Jang Da A are being eyed to lead a new JTBC romance titled “50 Days of Situationship” (literal title), and fans are already excited about the pairing.

According to a September 16 report by MyDaily, both actors have reportedly been offered the lead roles, though nothing is confirmed yet. Cha Woo Min’s agency responded that the project is “currently reviewing,” while Jang Da A’s agency has yet to comment.

50 Days of Situationship: Cha Woo Min and Jang Da

A Potion, a Bridge, and 50 Days of Chaos

The drama follows a wonderfully offbeat premise: an unremarkable 29-year-old intern accidentally gets her hands on a mysterious potion that makes her coworkers fall for her — for exactly 50 days. Jang Da A is reportedly up for the role of Go Dok Hee, a perpetually gloomy, anxiety-ridden sales intern who seems to attract bad luck wherever she goes. After a rough night of drinking, she ends up on a bridge over the Han River, where a mysterious elderly stranger hands her the fateful potion, kicking off her strange romantic journey.

Cha Woo Min, meanwhile, is linked to the role of Choi Geon Guk — a cold, confident assistant manager known as the company’s top salesperson, who transforms into a charming closer the second a customer walks through the door. It’s the kind of contrast-driven character K-drama fans tend to fall for instantly.

Familiar Faces in Fresh Territory

Both actors bring recent credits to the table. Cha Woo Min most recently starred in “My Bias, My Boss,” while Jang Da A appeared in “My Troublesome Star.” If this casting comes together, it’ll mark a fresh pairing for two rising names in the industry — and give JTBC another quirky rom-com to add to its lineup, a network known for hits similar in tone to My Love from the Star.
