5 Malayalam OTT Releases This Week (Oct 15 to 16, 2026): From Urvashi’s Aasha to the Supernatural Comedy

1. Aasha: A Mother’s Paranoia Spirals

Directed by Safar Sanal, the film stars Urvashi and Joju George, with Aishwarya Lekshmi, Lakshmi Menon, Vijayaraghavan and others. Aasha is a widowed mother whose trauma and insomnia feed growing paranoia. After a confrontation with truck driver Jeemon, she wrongly suspects him of causing her daughter Anagha’s accident and abducts him. Her refusal to accept the truth leads to devastating consequences.

2. Adinaasam Vellapokkam: Campus Chaos

AJ Varghese directs this comedy thriller with Shine Tom Chacko, Babu Antony, Baiju Santhosh and Manju Pillai. Four mischievous students at the strict Liberty Engineering College sneak off campus and accidentally steal a prized stash belonging to a dangerous man named Columbus. He then disguises himself as a motivational speaker to track them down inside the college, while the principal watches closely. Expect a cat-and-mouse game.

3. Kappi Squad: Startup Dreams, Bruised Egos

This series from director Belraj Kalarickal follows four emotionally immature young adults, Kiran, Pappi, Anu and Isha, who turn their insecurities and wounded pride into a café startup. Money troubles and ego clashes test them, and the real question is whether their friendship survives. The cast includes Rinosh George, Joel Joseph and Anagha Ajith.

4. Oru Anweshanathinte Thudakkam: A Disappearance Mystery

MA Nishad directs a strong cast including Shine Tom Chacko, Vani Viswanath, Sshivada, Samuthirakani and Mukesh. Freelancer Jeevan Thomas vanishes days after his engagement. Six months on, a special team led by Isaac Mammen, supervised by Shreya, takes up the case. A trail of clues across Kerala leads them to an influential family in Kottayam, and the missing-person case becomes a gripping mystery.

5. It’s a Medical Miracle: Hearing a Danger

Shyamin Gireesh directs Sangeeth Prathap, Akhila Bhargavan and Sharaf U Dheen. Ruben wakes from a two-year coma able to hear even the faintest sounds. He searches for Susanna, the nurse whose voice comforted him, and gets entangled with a masked kidnapper. With his friend Sooraj, he must use his unusual ability to protect her.
