🎉 What Just Happened

On May 4 at approximately 11 a.m. KST, the Dynamite choreography version MV hit 300 million views on YouTube — approximately five years, seven months, and eight days since its release on September 26, 2020.

Let that sink in for a moment. This isn’t the official MV — it’s the choreography version, essentially a dance-focused alternate cut. And it still hit 300 million. That speaks volumes about the kind of fandom loyalty and global reach BTS commands even while members continue their individual pursuits and military service timelines.

Dynamite was already a landmark song for BTS — their first entirely English-language single, a song that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and a cultural touchstone that introduced millions of new listeners to K-pop during the pandemic era. The choreography version became a fan favourite for its clean, full-body dance cuts, letting ARMY study every move frame by frame.

The fact that an alternate version of a five-year-old song is still organically accumulating views in the hundreds of millions in 2026 is a testament to BTS’s enduring global footprint — a phenomenon well documented as part of the broader Korean Wave cultural impact that transformed the global music industry.
