Intel XeSS is now available for Enlisted

The free-to-play squad-based first-person shooter game Enlisted, which is set during World War II, has recently been updated to support Intel XeSS, according to Gaijin Entertainment and Darkflow Software.

We always seek to use the latest technologies in our games, especially when they improve the gaming experience. Playing at high frame rates is especially important in the case of fast-paced shooters like Enlisted, but the picture must also remain sharp. Intel XeSS (Xe Super Sampling) support will allow our users to play more comfortably and get a better experience.

Enlisted’s creators, who were among the first to guarantee NVIDIA DLSS 2.0 support before the product’s release, claim that Intel XeSS can increase performance by up to 50% when used with 4K resolution and Ultra settings.

The latest Intel Arc graphics cards, which are believed to be the best optimised for the technology thanks to the integrated Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX) AI engines, are the only ones that are compatible with the implementation at the moment.

By reverting to the commonly used DP4a instructions, Intel XeSS can function on AMD or NVIDIA graphics cards, however first results in titles like Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Death Stranding Director’s Cut have proven disappointing. Darkflow and Gaijin appear to have chosen to use the native technology rather than go through the hassle of supporting Intel XeSS across many vendors.

By the way, this new upgrade is far from Enlisted’s sole recent addition. The game received a brand-new Pacific War campaign including Japan last month, and the creators also upgraded aesthetic features like flora, fog, and water surfaces.
