Cesare Casadei has agreed personal terms for a move to Chelsea this summer. The Inter Milan youngster has attracted interest from clubs like Sassuolo and Nice as well, but it seems like the West London outfit are best placed to complete the deal.

The youngster has given the green light to a six-year contract, which is a major step in the move going through. And now, only the two clubs need to find an agreement for the transfer to be completed.

Cesare Casadei to join Chelsea upon final bid submission

The 19-year-old would be the second midfield signing for Thomas Tuchel this summer, after the arrival of Carney Chukuemeka from Aston Villa.

Chelsea’s third offer for the player will be around €15 million plus add-ons, which will be enough to convince Inter Milan to sell the player. They initially wanted €20 million, but are now close to agreeing a negotiated fee for the midfielder.

Given the massive competition for game time in midfield, it is unlikely that Cesare Casadei will be directly included in the first team. The youngster has not made his debut at the senior level yet. However, he is a very highly rated prospect, and is a box-to-box midfielder with a very high workrate.

With his towering presence, he could also provide some much needed physicality to the midfield. Moreover, his ability to play vertical progressive passes will also be of great use to the team in the future.
