The pandemic’s impact is still being felt throughout the industry but another factor that has led to the decline is the ongoing crisis between Russia and Ukraine. The looming threat of a recession has the market rather shaky and the rates of smartphones launching recently have been significantly higher.

The Cupertino giant and the South Korean tech company witnessed a positive trend in Q2 of 2022 despite selling fewer devices in Europe in Q2 of 2022 in comparison to the previous quarter. They are followed by Xiaomi who managed to see a bit of growth but brands like Oppo and Realme came in at fourth and fifth respectively. Both the Chinese companies witnessed a decline similar to the entire European region.
