Durand Cup 2022: Fixtures, Groups and Dates announced

The teams and dates for the 2022 Durand Cup have been announced. 20 teams will be participating in the competition, with five teams divided into four groups. Of them, 11 will be from the ISL. 

The 131st edition of the tournament will feature the return of East Bengal and ATK Mohun Bagan. Here are the groups for the upcoming edition of the Cup: 

Group A – FC Goa, Mohammedan Sporting, Bengaluru FC, Jamshedpur FC, Indian Air Force.

Group B – East Bengal, ATK Mohun Bagan, Mumbai City FC, Rajasthan United FC, Indian Navy.

Group C – NEROCA FC, TRAU FC, Hyderabad FC, Chennaiyin FC, Army Red.

Group D – Sudeva FC, Odisha FC, NorthEast United FC, Kerala Blasters FC

Durand Cup 2022 announced 

The competition will kick off on August 16 with the Kolkata Derby, which will see East Bengal take on ATK Mohun Bagan. Group A and B matches will be played in Kolkata, while Group C matches will be played in Imphal and Guwahati will host the Group D games. 

The Yuba Bharati Krirangan will host the knockout stages of the 2022 Durand Cup, as well as the final on September 18. The Durand Cup, the President’s Cup and the Shimla Trophy will be presented to the winners. As part of the tournament tour, the trophies will travel through all the destinations, alongside Rajasthan, before returning to Kolkata.
