UEFA Women’s Champions League 2022-23: Everything you need to know about the qualifying groups

The UEFA Women’s Champions League 2022-23 qualifying group has been drawn. However, the format of the qualifying rounds of the Women’s Champions League is a bit confusing, so here is the qualifying format in simpler terms.

The 4 teams Lyon, Chelsea, Wolfsburg and Barcelona have already been guaranteed their spots in the proper group stage.

The remaining 12 teams in the proper group stage will have to progress through the qualifying rounds. Some of the famous clubs like Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain will enter the second round of qualifying.

Round One of qualifying includes Champions from 42 European leagues and a further 15 teams who qualified through their league standings from the 2021/22 season. Al the teams have been drawn into mini-tournaments. The winners of each tournament will progress to Round Two.
