Top 5 football players with the most goals in one match

Scoring a hat-trick is quite an achievement in any game. But, sometimes players can go overboard with their goalscoring feats. In this article, we will be looking at the top five players who have scored the most goals in one match. 

A fair warning, though – the numbers on this list are absolutely ridiculous!

5. John Petrie (13 Goals) 


Petrie was a Scottish footballer, who played most of his football for Abroath. He achieved the feat at 18 years of age, defeating Bon Accord 36-0.

4. Cosmina Dusa (13 Goals) 

Romanian forward Cosmina Dusa is next on the list, also with 13 goals in one match. She scored 13 times in a Liga I game against CFF Clujana. She played for CFF Olimpia Cluj at the time.

3. Archie Thompson (13 Goals) 

Thompson was a prolific forward during his time, and scored 13 goals in a World Cup qualifier. Australia defeated American Samoa 31-0 in the 2002 qualifiers, hence earning a spot on this list. 

2. Malika-e-Noor (14 Goals)

Malika-e-Noor is the woman with the most goals in one match, with fourteen to her name. She was the focal point of Young Rising Stars’ 25-0 thrashing of Margala in 2011, and also provided 11 assists. 

1. Hacene Lalmas (14 Goals)  

Hacene Lalmas tops the list for the most goals in one match alongside Malika-e-Noor. The Algerian is the top scorer in the top flight of the domestic league, and starred in OM Ruisseau’s 18-0 win over JS Birtouta in the 1962-63 season.
