We know the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 8000 comprises 4x Cortex-A78 (2.75GHz) and 4x Cortex-A55 (2.0GHz) CPU cores, so the Dimensity 8100 will possess higher speeds but no design-level improvements are suspected.

As per the known Weibo blogger @Digital Chat Station, these upcoming Dimensity 8000/8100 powered smartphones will be launched next month. Being based out of TSMC’s 5nm process, the same node responsible for Apple’s A14 Bionic, so, for a mid-range chip, it is a nice chip to have on new-age affordable smartphones.

The report from ITHome says smartphone makers like Realme and Xiaomi/Redmi are ahead in the race to use these new chips onto their new smartphones.
