DC Vs. Marvel: Which franchise will win the tug-of-war in 2022? Here’s a detailed analysis

It is true that both Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Extended Universe have collided since 2021, but it is very tough to conclude which franchise see a better year. The age-old rivalry of the two franchises has been continued with the big screen adaptations according to their respective cinematic universes in the MCU and the DCEU.

Superhero films have always had dominations into the box office for the last few years a big thanks primarily to Marvel Studios which has released a total of 26 blockbusters since kicking off 2008.

The MCU started with Robert Downey Jr. and  Jon Favreau’s Iron Man that became a smashing success and it is motivate Kevin Feige and the team for continuing the building of the universe with 2012’s the Avengers functioning like the first culmination event. DC Shows Release in 2022

Warner Bros has five of the DC films for 2022. After the little 2021 with just only James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. , their slate has been reshuffled due to the coronavirus pandemic situation that changed a couple of times and that seems like the schedule will finally stick.

FC will open up 2022 with several much anticipated  The batman that will hit the theaters on 4th March. It is directed by  Matt Reeves, the movie introduces Robert Pattinson playing the next caped Crusader, and takes over the project from Ben Affleck that supposed to write, direct, and star in it.

Warner Bros is also following with the animated film, DC’s League of Super-Pets on 20th May. This movie is based on the dog of Superman, Krypto assembling with his own team to protect the captured Justice League. The remain of Warner Bros. films for 2022 all exists within the DCEU.  Johnson officially confirms on 29th July as Black Adam in Jaume Collet  Serra’s Black Adam and after years of production limbo, the film officially comes to the theatres aside from the titular character. It will also introduce the Justice Society of America.

It indicates Andy Muschietti’s The Flash will be seen Ezra Miller reprise roles like Barry Allen with the time-travelling/universe hopping n with the adventure that also will see Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck for revisiting such respective versions of batman. It is reported that Sasha Calle joins the DCEU as Supergirl.

The Flash is set for a November 4 rollout. Warner Bros closing 2022 on 165th December 2022 along with James Wan’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom featuring Jason Momoa as Aquaman. Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II all will come from the original film. It is true that DC is building its piler.

All Marvel Shows Release in 2022

It is also like the DCEU, Marvel Studios’ MCU also had some changes to slate a few times due to the coronavirus pandemic. It now currently contains three movies for 2022 and all with them are sequels and kicking things off on 6th May with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of  Madness directed by Sam Raimi and featuring Benedict Cumberbatch as the primary sorcerer. This movie also will watch the returning of Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Benedict Wong’s Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Mordo, and  Rachel  McAdams’ Christine Palmer.

It has been followed by Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder with a project that marks his MCU reunion with Chris Hemsworth since 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok.  Marvel Studios become bigger with the fourth Thor film scheduled to premiere in theatres on July 8 assembling the star-stubbed ensemble with Natalie  Portman as Jane Foster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, and also there are several actors from Guardian of the Galaxy films. It means Russell Crowe and  Christian Bale are officially on to the MCU via the film as Zeus and  Gorr, the God  Butcher.

Marvel Studios’ last 2022 film as Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stepping forward after the untimely death of the lead actor, Chadwick Boseman in 2020. It is slated to hit the theatres on 11th November with the sequel to put more concentration on the existing characters and deep exploration of Wakanda.

Marvel Vs DC Shows winning Predictions

If you give a close look DC is the winner of the matchup. Warner Bros. It just offering such of the five DC films in 2022 in comparison with Marvel Studios there. Apart from that DC also win from the perspective of variety,  making their slate more exciting overall. All of the five films are mainly different from each other.

It is true that Batman is technically going to starts the latest new universe outside of the DCEU with the following films and spin-offs planned already. The DC’s League of Super-Pets given a much younger demographic given the premise of the film and storyline. The last three is existing in the prime DCEU canon with one such advance of the franchise in a unique way.

On the other side, MCU movies offer some form of variation since they are all with sequels with such expectations from the fans for them. Doctor Strange and the multiverse of Madness establishes mainly with the idea of the multiverse with something Spider-Man: No Way Home. It will also serve as a sort of continuation of Wanda vision’s story provided by Scarlet Witch and means Thor: Love and Thunder are the first of fourth solo movie in the MCU with the focus of Jane Foster and become Thor will be more interesting and Valkyries supposed with the current reign as the king of Asgard.

The return of Bale with the comic book film sandbox confirm to turn heads after playi8ng  Batman in the acclaimed The Dark Knight trilogy with Christopher Nolan and he is now set to play the God of Thunder’s next villain, Gorr.

They also set to launch two games surely like 2022: Marvel’s Midnight Sons and DC’s next Batman game, Gotham Knights. The team all want Gotham Knights like their top pick. DC also wins this time.

It could define the future of DC and Marvel and also define the future of the aforementioned franchises like a bigger setup. It can even change the way the public perceives relations with each other. There is no secret with Marvel Cinematic Un9iverse is the number one comic book franchise for quite now, it also even expanded the lore by rolling TV shows for Disney+.  There are the three amili8ar blockbusters for the next year with some casual moviegoers.
