India vs New Zealand series: Due to the pollution threat, team India stays indoors

 Due to the pollution and bad air quality, the first match between India and New Zealand the officials are worried for the health of the players. It is almost like a gas-chamber situation, for which the Indian team instead of going outdoors spent time at the gym. After taking the runners up position in the T20 World Cup, Kiwis are also staying in Indian hotels.

India’s vice-captain KL Rahul seems to be calm with the entire situation. He stated that “ We are here to play cricket. Actually, we haven’t stepped out yet. We just reached the stadium and will train in Gym so I don’t know, I don’t have an answer to that. I am not carrying a meter with me in my hand to say how bad the pollution is”

The kiwis have kept most of their players from their T20 Worls Cup squad for this tour to India, while there are a lot if young talents in the India team for this tournament. Rohit Sharma is the captain and KL Rahul is the vice-captain and Rahul Dravid is their head coach

India vs New Zealand- Schedule

  • The first match is on Wednesday 17th November, 2021 in Jaipur
  • The second match is on Friday !9th November 2021 in Ranchi
  • The third match is on Wednesday 21st November 2021 in Kolkata

Places around Jaipur that is Delhi,  Gurgaon, Sonepat and others have already tarted closing their schools, colleges and government offices.

Due to Delhi pollution, schools are shut for a week and construction works banned.

Delhi Government has proposed for a lockdown in Supreme Court on Monday for  Gurugram, Faridabad schools, to keep the schools shut till Wednesday due to Air pollution.

Government offices will have Work from Home routine till Wednesday.

An expert at Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board spoke to Times Of India stating “The main reason for smog is that with the arrival of winter, the velocity of air decreases. And when the velocity of air decreases, pollutants do not disperse in the air easily. When the velocity of air remains normal or high, pollutants disperse easily and does not create any sort of smog.
