around the world.

Zug, September 14th, 2021 – Chiliz ($CHZ), the world leading blockchain providers for the sports and entertainment industry, today announced a partnership with FTX.com to list Fan Tokens on the cryptocurrency exchange, providing $CHZ and Fan Tokens holders access to FTX’s industry leading technology.

Fan Tokens are collectible, tradable digital assets that allow holders to access influence, VIP experiences, rewards, games, exclusive content, chat forums and competitions on Chiliz fan engagement platform Socios.com. 60 major sporting organisations have partnered with Chiliz, including the likes of FC Barcelona, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, Arsenal and Manchester City. Both Inter Milan and Valencia CF will promote their Fan Tokens on the front of their shirt for the 2021/22 season.

FTX.com, one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world which recently closed the largest fund-raise in crypto history with $900mm raised at a $18bn valuation, will be rolling out support for trading of fan tokens on their industry leading exchange. $INTER and $GAL will be the first tokens to be listed with others such as $PSG, $CITY, and $BAR following shortly thereafter. FTX will continue to support Fan Tokens as Chiliz scales and consolidates this major new industry trend in the years to come.

Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of FTX said: “At FTX, we are always looking to be at the forefront of innovation. Bringing Fan Tokens to our platform through this partnership with Chiliz provides our users with a new way of engaging with the teams they support. We look forward to collaborating with Chiliz on the launch of this product to a global audience.”

Chiliz has 160+ employees globally, a number set to hit 200 by the end of 2021. The company has opened new regional headquarters in Madrid, Istanbul and São Paulo and will open a new North American office in the near future. Hundreds of additional major sporting organizations are set to launch Fan Tokens in partnership with Chiliz in the years to come.

Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Chiliz and Socios.com, said: “In 2021, the global sports industry has awoken to the huge potential of Fan Tokens. These digital assets have captured the attention of millions of fans around the world – and the world’s leading business and sports media – but we are only at around 10% of the full potential of our mission. In the blockchain/crypto space, NFTs have been the buzzword for some time, but partnerships like today’s, receiving the full backing of the hottest trading platform in the industry, provides more proof that it is in fact Fan Tokens that have
the scalability to grow the industry by providing real utility and a product that is able to capture and hold the attention of a potentially massive mainstream audience.”
