Manchester City are all set to complete the signing of Fluminense winger Kayky, after having scouted him since the beginning of the year. The player has featured multiple times for Fluminense’s youth team, and was also the top scorer in the Brasileirao last season.

The transfer has been given the Here We Go signal by Fabrizio Romano, which, considering the Italian journalist’s track record, means that the deal is all set to go through. However, considering that the player is only 17 years old, the transfer will have to wait till 2022.

The main reason behind the delay is due to the work permit laws that prevent youngsters under the age of 18 to come in and settle in England unless they clear a work permit examination which is evaluated on a points basis.
Kayky will join the Manchester City youth team, and will sign a five year contract which will see him be a City player until 2027 from 2022. The signing is expected to cost €10 million up front and €7 million in add ons.

Fluminense will also receive a certain percentage of any future sale that Manchester City make involving the player.
The deal is currently in the signing stage and all details have been agreed between the two parties. It is only a matter of time before the deal is made official, and the youngster will join City soon.
