IPL 2020: Virat Kohli wants to create a good culture in RCB from Day 1

Coronavirus pandemic has already affected every part of the world. The normal life of everyone has changed. The sporting activities have also been affected.

IPL is going to start on the 19th of September in UAE. Royal Challengers Bangalore has already arrived at Waldorf Astoria in UAE. After landing in UAE, RCB captain Virat Kohli, director of the cricket operation Mike Hesson and head coach Simon Katich joined in a virtual meeting to discuss the rules and regulation of the team and welcome everyone on board.

Virat Kohli said: “It (violation) will be dealt with very seriously. For accidental breach, players will be removed and sent into isolation for seven days and then come back only after he tests negative.”

Hesson said: “There will be strong consequences if players chose to do that (violate protocols). Players will sign a document which explains the consequences.”

Kohli added: “We have to understand that we need to protect the bubble.”

Kohli also said that these rules will be strictly followed by all the members of the team and he wants a good culture to follow this rule from the first day.

“For me, it’s all about what can I do to create an environment where everyone feels a part of the team equally and everyone feels responsible for where we want to go equally. And I think all of us have to contribute towards that. Firstly the seniors in the team. So let’s start things on the right note.”

He also warned everyone that: “I think one mistake by any one of us could literally spoil the whole tournament. And none of us want to do that.”

RCB has never won the IPL trophy. This time Kohli wants to end their bad run in this competition and wants the unity of the team in every aspect.
