Need for Speed game series has been one of the most popular game series from EA which was made in partnership by Criterion Games back in 1994. Although, the most loved version of the entire series is undoubtedly the Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit which was released almost a decade ago, back in November 2010.

Currently, according to a new Venturebeat report, EA is bringing back the fan favourite racing game with remastered edition. The first Need for Speed Hot Pursuit was launched for PC, Xbox 360, along with the PlayStation 3.

The reports went on to say that Criterion and EA are set to restore the game with a brand new version and it’ll be released mostly for the Nintendo Switch. EA is now primarily focusing on to release more titles for the Nintendo Switch after fans asked the company to bring games on to the mobile gaming console.

EA is planning to bring a bunch of games like FIFA 21, Apex Legends, and Burnout Paradise, including the brand new NFS Hot Pursuit. Last year Need for Speed Heat, was announced for Xbox, PS4 and PC but the new version of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is not confirmed whether it will make its way to other major platforms apart from its primary focus on Nintendo Switch.

So, this will be interesting to what EA does, making the most loved game of its series exclusive to Nintendo Switch or making the Remastered Edition of NFS Hot Pursuit even better for all platforms including the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
