What’s the Story?

Kim You-jung plays Lee Ga Kyeong, the top pickpocket in Gyeongseong (present-day Seoul), whose dream is simple: save up enough money to leave for America. That plan gets derailed when a sniper from an anti-Japanese resistance group makes her an offer she can’t refuse, pulling her into the country’s independence movement as an undercover operative.

To pull off her mission, Lee Ga Kyeong assumes a false identity and infiltrates the Japanese Government-General of Korea disguised as an interpreter trainee. It’s there that she becomes entangled with Kim Tae Woong, played by GOT7’s Park Jinyoung — a newly appointed interpreter who also goes by Sato Hideo and happens to be the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea, the second-highest-ranking official in the entire administration.

What the First Poster Shows

The newly unveiled poster captures Lee Ga Kyeong stepping into the Japanese Government-General building for the first time, glancing back at the camera with a look that mixes vigilance with quiet determination. The tagline sums up her circumstances perfectly: a girl who dreamed of heading to America ends up infiltrating the very institution standing in her way.

Why This Drama Is Worth Watching

Director Yoo In Shik has a strong track record with emotionally grounded, high-stakes storytelling, having helmed hits like Extraordinary Attorney Woo and the Dr. Romantic franchise. Pairing that pedigree with a politically charged historical backdrop and a slow-burn spy romance gives 100 Days of Deception the kind of premise that tends to resonate strongly with K-drama audiences.
