Yuqi Is Coming Back: (G)I-DLE Star Sets October Date for Solo Mini Album “27”

The countdown has officially begun — (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi is stepping back into the spotlight as a soloist, and fans now have a firm date to look forward to.

Yuqi: The Announcement

On September 23 KST, Yuqi confirmed the details of her return with her second solo mini album, “27,” set to release on October 8 at 1 p.m. KST. Alongside the announcement, she dropped the first round of teaser images, giving fans an early visual preview of the upcoming era’s concept and aesthetic.

What We Know So Far?

The title “27” strongly suggests a personal, age-reflective theme for the record — a common approach among K-pop soloists using milestone numbers to frame an album’s emotional core, though further concept details haven’t been unveiled yet.

Why This Comeback Matters?

Yuqi has built a distinct identity as a soloist separate from her work with (G)I-DLE, and each solo release tends to lean into a more personal, artist-driven direction compared to the group’s high-concept group releases. With teaser images already rolling out, fans can expect the usual promotional cycle — individual and group concept photos, a tracklist reveal, and a highlight medley — to follow in the lead-up to October 8.
