Your Ground: Overview

Meet the Characters

Han Hyo Joo as Seo Hee Seung — A brilliant lawyer who has never lost a case, Seo Hee Seung is unexpectedly reassigned to a sports agency, entering the unfamiliar world of professional baseball. Despite knowing little about the sport, her fierce competitive drive helps her adapt quickly — right as she reunites with her first love under complicated new circumstances.

Gong Myoung as Kang Hae Hwan — Once hailed as a “genius pitcher” and future ace since his high school days, Kang Hae Hwan’s career takes a dramatic turn after a shocking incident sends him into a prolonged slump. His reunion with Seo Hee Seung, now working as his agent, sparks his journey back to the mound.

Kim Shin Rok as Dong Chi Young — The tough, veteran CEO of Donghaeng, the country’s top sports agency, overseeing everything from contracts to career strategy.

Sung Joon as Yoon Yi Seok — A rival pitcher who took over as the team’s ace after Kang Hae Hwan’s departure. While he genuinely wants Kang Hae Hwan to return, their on-field rivalry is unavoidable — complicated further by his growing feelings for Seo Hee Seung.

Why This Drama Has Potential

The blend of workplace drama, sports comeback narrative, and rekindled romance gives Your Ground multiple threads to explore, especially with a director experienced in balancing emotional depth with genre storytelling. Baseball dramas hold a special place in Korean entertainment, often using the sport as a backdrop for larger themes of resilience and redemption — much like the broader appeal of baseball narratives worldwide.
