Disney+ October Just Got a Marvel Makeover: 3 Shows

Looking for something Marvel to stream this month? Disney+ has confirmed three shows with new episodes in October 2026. One is a big live-action return, and two are for the younger fans (or the young at heart). Here’s your viewing calendar.

Disney+ Show Snapshot

Show	Type	Date	Notes
VisionQuest	Live-action	October 14	Starts with two episodes
Iron Man and his Awesome Friends	Animated (kids)	October 28	Episode count not confirmed
Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends	Animated (kids)	October 30	Resumes Season 5

1. VisionQuest: The Main Event

The next live-action MCU series is a sequel to WandaVision. It premieres Wednesday, October 14, with its first two episodes. Here’s how the rollout works:

Double-episode drops: October 14, October 21 and October 28
Single episodes: November 4 and November 11

Paul Bettany returns as Vision, continuing an 18-year MCU run that began in 2008’s Iron Man as JARVIS. He reunites with James Spader’s Ultron, and other familiar MCU faces join the cast. Vision works to get his humanity back and reconnects with his son, Tommy Maximoff, played by Ruaridh Mollica. If you want a refresher on the franchise, see Wikipedia’s MCU overview.

2. Iron Man and his Awesome Friends

This animated children’s series returns on October 28. It began on Disney+ in August 2025 and follows kid versions of Tony Stark, Riri Williams and Amadeus Cho, each with their own Iron suit. They use their brains and armor to solve problems and take on villains like Ultron, Absorbing Man, Loki and Swarm.

3. Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends

Season 5 resumes on October 30. The show stars grade-school versions of Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy and Miles Morales facing Spidey’s rogues, including Rhino, Doc Ock, the Green Goblin, Electro, Black Cat, Sandman and the Lizard. It also led to the Iron Man spin-off, and the two shows shared a Halloween-themed crossover in September.

What’s Coming Later

Marvel’s pipeline after October looks like this, based on the report:

Daredevil: Born Again Season 3: March 2027, confirmed as the final season, with a Defenders reunion featuring Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Elektra.
Marvel Zombies specials: Announced at New York Comic-Con for 2027, 2028 and 2029.
Zodiac: A spy thriller shooting next year, aimed at a 2028 premiere.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day: Expected on Disney+ much later, likely not until Summer 2028 per the report.
Avengers: Doomsday: Opens in December and is expected to stream sometime in 2027.

The report also notes that Marvel seems to be leaning harder into theatrical releases, since many streaming shows haven’t performed well on viewership.

If you only have time for one, start with VisionQuest, then consider the kids’ shows for family movie time. Want more? Browse our Marvel and MCU news and OTT release guides for weekly updates.
