Where to Find Gordon

Gordon spawns exclusively on Sub-level 5 in the sewer section. Navigate to the corridor branching right, then systematically check each room—his exact spawn randomizes per run.

Visual ID: Chef’s hat and white coat make him impossible to miss.

Critical: Return to the elevator immediately after freeing him. Death resets your progress, forcing another Sub-level 5 expedition.

Surviving to Sub-level 5

Purchase a baseball bat from the elevator vending machine before descending—essential for countering aggressive monsters.

Entity threats: Watch for The Forsaken (stops when observed), Pit Maws (floor traps), and Fridge Mimics. Always open fridges from the side to avoid damage.

Using the Cooking System

After rescue, access the Kitchen where Gordon awaits. Purchase your first pot for $500, then start cooking.

How it works: Combine up to four ingredients, wait 10 minutes to hours depending on recipe complexity. Dishes provide buffs like stamina boosts, HP restoration, or bonus coins.

Recipe discovery: Most recipes are hidden—experiment or follow community guides to unlock the full roster.

Pro Tips

Team up: Bring friends for safer exploration. Max team size is now 5 players, making monster management easier.

Preparation: Stock healing items, equip weapons, and ensure full stamina before descending.

Post-rescue: Gather common ingredients on your next runs to immediately craft beneficial recipes.

FAQs

Q: Can Gordon spawn on floors other than Sub-level 5?

A: No, Gordon exclusively spawns on Sub-level 5 in the sewer area. Unlike other NPCs like Sam or Graves (who appear randomly on Floor 10+), Gordon’s location is fixed. Thoroughly search every room in the right corridor if you don’t find him immediately.

Q: What happens if I die while escorting Gordon back?

A: You’ll lose rescue progress and must return to Sub-level 5 to find him again. Gordon doesn’t permanently unlock until he successfully boards the elevator. Prioritize survival over looting—use your bat to clear paths and avoid risky entity encounters during escort.
