Xiaomi reported 20 million Redmi Note 9 series phone sales in just four months during the pandemic

“Pandemic? What’s that?” – though Xiaomi never stated this line, for the company, it’s not irrelevant. We all know that the Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro were came to the market in early May last year. As per the recently published report by the Chinese brand, it sold over 20 million Redmi Note 9 series smartphones back then. Needless to say, the number is not a small one, even at a time when the coronavirus outbreak was at its peak acceleration.

Point to note, to calculate this figure the data till 27th September was taken. After that Xiaomi further sold so many units of the Redmi Note 9 series for sure. It is expected that the sale again got a boost last month as the company introduced the Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi Note 9 5G, and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G.

In this time period, the global economy slowed down and at that time 20 million units of global shipment is an exceptional case. You can hardly get this kind of example in the beginning of 2020.
