Xiaomi’s Redmi has introduced the Redmi Note 11 Pro, Note 11 Pro+ 5G, and Watch 2 Lite in India on the 9th of March, 2022. Redmi is not yet done as the company announced that it will launch the Redmi 10 in India on the 17th of March.
The Redmi 10 that will come to India next week will not be the same variant with an Helio G88 chip, this is an entirely new device.
Redmi has not yet detailed the Redmi 10 Indian model’s specs sheet yet, but the company gave us a glimpse of its design and it also revealed some features. The Redmi 10 will be powered by a 6nm Snapdragon chip and will sport a notched display instead of one with a central punch hole.
The Redmi 10 has a texture back cover with a smudge-free finish, and it has a square-ish camera island with a flash and two cameras. The primary sensor is a 50MP one and the secondary sensor could be a depth sensor.
Redmi has also hinted that it will come with fast charging technology, a massive battery, and ultra-fast storage.
The Redmi that came out last August, the smartphone had an Helio G88 chip, with a 6.5″ 90Hz FullHD+ LCD display. It runs on Android 11 OS-based MIUI 12.5. In the camera department, the device had a quad-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support, and an 8MP selfie shooter.
The Redmi 10 came with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers. The Redmi 10 2022 shares all the specs with the 2021 model with the exception of the dedicated microSD card slot.
We are excited for the upcoming Redmi 10 next week, we can expect the entire spec list to be released soon!
