Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Pad 7 in India, adding a new member to its HyperOS ecosystem with the much-anticipated release. Having initially launched in China in 2024, the tablet has finally reached the Indian shores freshly bundled with an improved Focus Keyboard (trackpad) and more refined Focus Pen.

The Pad 7 is a huge upgrade over the previous-generation model and brings a Nano Texture display option in the top-end 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration. This marks the first time such a display is offered in this price segment, delivering a premium matte finish experience previously found only in more expensive devices like the iPad Pro, which retails for over ₹1 lakh.

In India, the Xiaomi Pad 7 is priced at ₹26,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, ₹29,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, and ₹31,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB model featuring the Nano Texture display. These prices are inclusive of a ₹1,000 bank offer. The Pad 7 will go on sale on January 13, while the Nano Texture variant, Focus Pen, and Pro Focus Keyboard will follow in February 2025. They can also be found on Amazon. It will be available on Mi.com and other authorized Xiaomi stores, while the Nano Texture model will be sold online only.

It features an 11.2-inch display with a 3.2K resolution, 345 PPI, and 144Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate. The 12-bit color depth and 3:2 aspect ratio make it perfect for reading, surfing, or media. It has quad-speaker Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support.

The Pad 7 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, which promises seamless multitasking and gaming — plus Game Turbo Mode for building on that experience. It features an 8,850mAh battery with 45W fast charging and is designed to be portable with a 6.18mm metal unibody and weight close to 500 grams. Xiaomi has also introduced the improved Focus Pen, offering 8,132 pressure sensitivity levels for precise drawing and writing, along with the Focus Keyboard, featuring a gesture-enabled touchpad, backlit keys, and adjustable angles for a comfortable typing experience.
