Xiaomi has a new foldable smartphone on the way, but this time it’s for both the Chinese and global market. On the list of expected devices is the Xiaomi Mix Flip, a clamshell model that is a foldable model, and now it looks like the phone has been spotted on the NBTC certification database. The Upcoming Xiaomi Mix Flip
The latest addition to the list is the forthcoming global launch of a Xiaomi smartphone with the model number 2405CPX3DG confirmed by the NBTC certification. The model is expected to be sold under the name Xiaomi Mix Flip according to Thailand’s certification authority. It also certifies that the device will be compatible with a network up to 5G, so as to ensure that it will meet the current standards of high-speed communication.
Apart from the NBTC certification, the upcoming clamshell smartphone has also been certified by the IMDA which confirms the device will have standard connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. Fanning further speculation, Xiaomi’s chairman Lei Jun was spotted using a clamshell smartphone last month, which is likely what the Xiaomi Mix Flip is. The smartphone is expected to launch in July alongside the Mix Fold 4 and the Redmi K70 Ultra in China.
Xiaomi Mix Flip is rumored to bring a foldable inside display with 1.5K resolution and 520 PPI providing the best sharp visuals. We will also likely see Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC on the Pro version, ensuring fast performance. Based on the image above, it appears the device will also run Hyper OS, which is likely built from Android 14, so users should get the latest software experience right out of the box.
The top row of this side shows off detailed schematic renders of the Mix Flip, which brings us a clear look at the prominent rectangular camera module. It comes with a module that includes a 50MP OmniVision OV50E camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) with a 2x zoom 60MP OV60A camera. Moreover, China’s CCC certification has revealed that the Mix Flip will back 67W rapid-charging technology for fast recharging times.
