Xiaomi Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand is launched for 6,800 INR

Earlier today, Xiaomi decided to drop a surprise for all of us by launching its new 100W wireless charger in China. The charger is dubbed the Mi 100W Wireless Charging Stand, an improvised version of the Mi 80W Wireless Charging Stand that came out towards the end of March.

Looking at what the new Mi 100W Wireless Charging stand has to offer, it is almost identical to its 80W predecessor, however, the differentiating factor is the upgraded charging speed, color, and safety layer.

In terms of design, the chargers are identical, you can place your device either vertically or horizontally to charge them. The newer version comes in black color with a gold accent, while the older model had white color with a silver accent. In terms of color, the new version looks aesthetically stunning, it has a bit of class to it, and the combination of what visibly appears to be matte black with the gold accent is a perfect 10.

True to its name, the new charger has an upgraded output rate of 100W as opposed to 80W offered by its predecessor. However, the duo uses the same Mi 120W charger and a 6A USB cable, both of which come included in the box. Currently, none of Xiaomi’s products can charge wirelessly at these rates.

The 100W Wireless Charging Stand carries the model number MDY-13-EL, while the 80W version carried the MDY-13-ED model number. The latest version has an upgraded additional layer of protection of current calibration other than over-current protection, over-voltage protection, under-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, foreign body detection, and lastly electrostatic protection. if all these layers of protection do not reassure you about the safety of the charger, then nothing will!

The 100W version also comes with a dual-coil design and a dynamic fan, both of which we witnessed in the 80W Wireless Charger, it runs quietly when required. The accessory uses Qi standard, and as a result, can be used to charge almost every product with wireless charging support.
