Xiaomi Book 14 Leaks with Intel Panther Lake, 32GB RAM and Sub-1kg Design

Xiaomi is making a serious return to the premium laptop segment — and the leaked specs for the refreshed Xiaomi Book 14 suggest it could be one of the most compelling ultrabooks of 2026. Tipped by reliable Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station and corroborated by a Chinese reviewer who reportedly already has the device in hand, this one looks close to launch.

Why This Laptop Deserves Your Attention

Most 14-inch premium laptops weigh between 1.2–1.4kg. The MacBook Air 13-inch sits at 1.24kg. The Dell XPS 13 comes in around 1.2kg. Getting a 14-inch laptop under 1kg takes serious engineering — and if Xiaomi pulls it off, this immediately enters elite ultrabook territory.

The top-tier Core Ultra X7 358H configuration includes Intel’s Arc B390 iGPU, which has proven itself in both gaming and creative workloads alongside the usual productivity tasks. That’s a meaningful GPU step up from anything in Xiaomi’s previous Book lineup. A reviewer from Weibo also noted that the build quality and battery life of the Xiaomi Book 14 were impressive, with the 14-inch display being touch-enabled — a rarity in this weight class.

The two memory configurations — 24GB RAM with 1TB storage, and 32GB RAM with the same 1TB SSD — signal Xiaomi is targeting creators and power users, not just everyday productivity buyers. Storage is reportedly capped at 1TB initially, which is the only mild disappointment for those needing more headroom.

With Intel’s Panther Lake built on the 18A process and 180 TOPS of NPU performance, this is a genuine AI PC in the truest sense. If Xiaomi prices it aggressively — as they historically do — rivals in the premium AI ultrabook space should take notice.
