Nintendo has announced a new Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Nintendo Direct. This new themed Nintendo Direct will allow Xenoblade Chronicles 3 fans to see a live-streamed Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Direct presentation, which will contain around 20 minutes of details about the anticipated RPG adventure for Nintendo Switch.
Xenoblade and Launch Date
The presentation is set to take place on June 22, 2022, at 7 a.m. PT, 7.30 a.m. IST, and 10 a.m. ET. It will be featured on their official YouTube account, as is customary. Fans can view it by clicking on the link above.
What will be discussed during the presentation? An informed prediction would be a restart of the game’s pre-orders, which were previously put on hold. Specifically, those from the Special Edition of the game.
It is the 3rd consecutive edition and the fourth edition in the ambitious Nintendo franchise, developed by series founder Monolith Soft. It was first revealed as part of the Nintendo Direct demonstration in February 2022. It’s an open-world action RPG with sci-fi and fantasy themes that follows in the series’ footsteps.
About the Game
In the realm of Aionios, the nations of Keves and Agnus are at odds with one another. The former is more technologically advanced, while the latter is powered by Ether, a sort of life energy.
The story revolves around the lives of two characters, Noah and Mio, who are once again intertwined. Both are flute-wielding funeral mourners as off-seers, although they are from different countries.
While it is a sequel to the original two games, it contains a completely new cast of characters. The core gameplay remains the same, with players navigating enormous areas filled with monsters to battle. Much of this will be scaled up, which is where the new Ouroboros mechanic comes into play.
Two individuals in the game’s party can fuse to produce strong forms that can assist them to defeat exceptionally difficult foes. The action, as usual, takes place in real time and incorporates a strategy involving returning mechanics such as the toppling system and auto-attack aspects.
Game Platform and Others
Since the series is a first-party Nintendo IP, it will only be released on Nintendo Switch. Expect it to arrive on July 29, 2022. The series has always been a home console exclusive for the Legend of Zelda-maker, and this is not going to change. The New Nintendo 3DS did receive a port for the original Wii game, though.
Besides this new entry, there are other Xenoblade games on the hybrid platform, too: Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Given the amount of content those games have, players can expect 3 to also feature hundreds of hours of engaging gameplay.
