Xbox Aggregated Library Revolution: My Apps Tab & Cross-Device Sync Transform PC Gaming

Microsoft is revolutionizing PC gaming with a game-changing Xbox app update! The new aggregated library feature combines games from Steam, Epic, GOG, Battle.net, and more into a single, controller-friendly hub. Plus, cross-device play history syncs across console, PC, and handheld devices for seamless gaming everywhere.

Xbox Aggregated Library: All Your Games in One Place

Starting today, Xbox is making it easier to find, download, and launch games from your Xbox app, giving you one place for everything you want to play. The Xbox PC app now integrates other PC launchers and games into its own launcher, creating the ultimate gaming hub.

New Xbox Features Breakdown

My Apps Tab: Third-Party Integration Made Simple

The new My Apps tab in the library brings third-party apps and storefronts together in one place, supporting the aggregated gaming library so you can find, download, and launch games from multiple locations without switching between apps or your desktop.

Supported Platforms:

• Steam games and launcher
• Epic Games Store titles
• GOG galaxy integration
• Battle.net games
• Xbox Game Pass library

For gamers managing multiple game libraries, this unified approach eliminates the hassle of switching between different launchers.

Cross-Device Play History: Gaming Continuity Everywhere

Later this month, cloud-playable titles and play history will sync across console, PC, and handheld devices. Use the “cloud playable” filter in My Games to view compatible titles that work across your entire gaming ecosystem.

Cross-Device Benefits:

• Seamless game progression tracking
• Recent games accessible everywhere
• Cloud save synchronization
• Unified achievement progress

For users interested in cloud gaming advancement, this represents Microsoft’s most ambitious cross-platform integration yet.

Controller-Friendly Gaming Hub

Microsoft’s Xbox app on Windows 11 has quietly evolved from a Game Pass storefront into a genuine, controller-friendly gaming hub capable of listing and launching installed titles from multiple storefronts, and the company is now rolling key pieces of that work out to wider audiences.

The interface works seamlessly with Xbox controllers, Steam Deck, and other handheld gaming devices, making it perfect for couch gaming on PC.

Technical Implementation and DRM Integration

Microsoft’s latest Xbox app update for Windows 11 and handhelds finally stitches scattered PC game libraries into a single hub that promises smoother launches and cross-device continuity, though it raises important questions about DRM handoffs between different platforms.

For tech enthusiasts following PC gaming innovation, this represents a significant step toward platform-agnostic gaming experiences.

Rollout Timeline and Availability

Current Status: Aggregated library and My Apps tab available now.
Coming Soon: Full cross-device sync rolling out later in September 2025
Device Support: Windows PCs, Xbox consoles, compatible handheld devices

Impact on PC Gaming Ecosystem

This update transforms the Xbox app from a simple Game Pass launcher into a comprehensive gaming platform that rivals Steam’s interface while maintaining compatibility with all major PC gaming storefronts.

For gamers interested in unified gaming experiences, Microsoft’s approach creates genuine value without forcing platform exclusivity.

Bottom Line

Xbox’s aggregated library with My Apps tab and cross-device sync represents a paradigm shift in PC gaming convenience. By unifying multiple storefronts and enabling seamless cross-device continuity, Microsoft creates genuine value for multi-platform gamers.

Whether you’re gaming on console, PC, or handheld devices, these updates make Xbox the central hub for your entire gaming library, regardless of where you purchased your games.
