Xavi: We have to be self-critical to improve

Another European test for FC Barcelona and another failure, yes, Xavi‘s men failed at Old Trafford last night and the Barca legend has openly talked about it.

While his men had a good first half but in the second, everything looked to be falling apart, for United Casemiro and Antony really put on a show, helping them to get over the line at the European knockout stage.

Xavi reacted to this defeat of his mean, “We’ll see what we can do in the summer during the market if we have enough room with regards to Financial Fair Play”.

“We have to be self-critical to improve. We are not satisfied, but there’s a big change compared to last year”.

As per his words, FC Barcelona will be looking to further improve their squad in the upcoming summer transfer window if they can while still managing with the FFP. However, his team had the game in his hands but was mentally behind in the second half which resulted in Antony’s goal.

So, Xavi was open to letting the team know they didn’t perform well in the second half and weren’t there mentally but he also mentioned how the team has changed over the last few years. However, Xavi has also found this perfect team when it comes to such big games as he is not convinced with his starting lineup and fans have complained about not using Ansu Fati off late.
