With Love Storms the Box Office: Tamil Cinema’s Surprise Valentine Hit Nears ₹15 Crore in Just 7 Days!

When a small-budget Tamil romance with no star power quietly released last week, few expected it to become the feel-good box office story of early 2026. But With Love, starring Abishan Jeevinth and Anaswara Rajan, has done exactly that — and with Valentine’s Day falling right at the end of its first week, the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

With Love Week 1 Box Office Collections — Day by Day

The film opened to a solid ₹9 crore weekend and then showed remarkable weekday hold — a sign that genuine word-of-mouth is at play here, not just opening-day buzz.

Territory-Wise Breakdown

Unsurprisingly, Tamil Nadu is the heart of this film’s success — accounting for nearly 75% of its total earnings. But the fact that it found takers in Telugu-speaking states and beyond shows the story’s universal romantic appeal.

Why This Number Is a Big Deal

Let’s keep it real — ₹14.75 crore may not sound jaw-dropping in the era of ₹100-crore openers. But for a low-budget film with no established stars, directed by debutant Madhan, this is genuinely impressive. The movie has already recovered its investment and is now in profit territory heading into Week 2.

According to Wikipedia’s overview of Tamil cinema’s box office dynamics, the Tamil film industry has historically thrived on content-driven mid-range films winning audiences through storytelling rather than spectacle — and With Love is a textbook example of that tradition holding strong.

What’s Next for With Love?

With Valentine’s Day landing right at the start of its second weekend, the film is perfectly positioned for a significant spike. Projections suggest it could cross the ₹20 crore mark by end of Week 2 — which would make it a clear Hit by industry standards for its budget range.

If you’re looking for a breezy, heartwarming date-night watch this Valentine’s Day weekend, this might just be your answer.
