The backlash began after Bertolazzi shared comments describing BTS members as “effeminate” following their appearance at the World Cup final. The remarks quickly circulated across social platforms, drawing sharp criticism from fans who felt the comment leaned on harmful stereotypes.

What followed escalated fast. According to reports, individuals linked to the fandom allegedly published personal information attributed to Bertolazzi and used it to sign her up for services and registrations she never requested — including as a volunteer poll worker across multiple states in Brazil.
