Let’s take a closer look at Oviya’s career and some of the controversies she’s faced over the years.

Who is Oviya Helen?

Oviya, born Helen Nelson, has made her mark in the Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada film industries. She made her acting debut in 2010 with the Tamil drama Kalavani, which opened doors to several other notable projects. Some of her hit films include Marina, Moodar Koodam, and Madha Yaanai Koottam. Her performance in the 2012 comedy Kalakalappu brought her widespread recognition and fame.

In 2017, Oviya gained even more popularity after participating in the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil, hosted by Kamal Haasan. She quickly became one of the most talked-about contestants, captivating audiences with her bold personality and her close bond with fellow contestant and eventual winner, Arav. This reality show stint made her a household name and cemented her status in the Tamil entertainment industry.

Recently, the actress found herself in the spotlight again due to an alleged private MMS video circulating online. Some claim the video features Oviya, while others dismiss it as a deepfake, a growing concern in today’s digital age. However, the video’s authenticity has not been confirmed, and Oviya herself has not commented on the matter.

Despite the controversies, Oviya remains active in her acting career. She is currently working on a new comedy entertainer titled Contractor Nesamani, where she stars alongside popular comedian Yogi Babu.

Oviya also has a significant following on social media, particularly Instagram, where she regularly shares pictures and updates with her 705K followers. Her posts showcase her glamorous side, and she continues to engage with her fan base.
