Whirlpool Protton NXT 3 Door Refrigerator Launched in India from ₹27,500

Whirlpool India has launched the Protton NXT 3 Door refrigerator range — a multi-compartment cooling solution designed to tackle India’s two biggest refrigerator pain points: cold air loss and poor freshness retention. Starting at ₹27,500, it targets the growing premium frost-free segment with a fresh approach to organised storage.

Whirlpool Protton NXT 3 Door: Key Features & Specs

Why the 3 Door Design Makes Practical Sense

The core insight behind the Protton NXT is simple but effective: every time you open a single-door or 2-door fridge, cold air escapes from the entire cavity. A 3-door layout lets you open only the compartment you need — and Whirlpool claims this reduces cold air loss by 43%, directly translating to lower energy consumption and more stable temperatures for stored food.

The Microblock Technology preventing up to 99% bacterial growth over 15 days is the headline freshness claim — particularly relevant for Indian households that stock vegetables and dairy in bulk. The Active Deo System preventing odour transfer is a quality-of-life feature that anyone who has ever had onion smell seep into their milk will appreciate.

The FreshNXT moisture management for fruits and vegetables completes a freshness trifecta that makes this range genuinely differentiated from standard frost-free models. Earning the most energy-efficient 4-star rating under the tougher 2026 BEE standards is a meaningful endorsement of its long-term running costs.
