Whirlpool of India Limited has commenced operations at a new refrigerator production line at its Rajnangaon manufacturing facility in Pune. The expansion, which involved an investment exceeding INR 245 crore, is set to increase the Pune plant’s annual manufacturing capacity to 3.4 million units and is projected to generate over 750 additional jobs.

The new line is designed to facilitate the production of large-capacity refrigerators, a segment identified by the company as experiencing growing consumer demand. This strategic investment underscores Whirlpool’s commitment to enhancing its manufacturing capabilities within India, aligning with the Government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Whirlpool: Investment and Capacity Growth
