Where Winds Meet 1.1 Update: New Roaring Sands Area, Bosses & Mobile Launch

Everstone Studios just unleashed Where Winds Meet’s biggest expansion yet! The Version 1.1 “Timeless Bonds” update (December 11, 2025) introduces the sprawling Roaring Sands region, two formidable world bosses, the mysterious Velvet Shade sect, and—most exciting—the official mobile launch bringing this wuxia masterpiece to iOS and Android devices worldwide.

Where Winds Meet Version 1.1 Key Features

Roaring Sands: A Desert Oasis Awaits

The Roaring Sands expansion unveils nearly one-third of the complete Kaifeng region, transforming the game’s geography with windswept dunes, ancient ruins, and bustling trade routes. According to Game8’s comprehensive coverage, players must progress through the main story quest “New Arrival in Kaifeng – First Arrival” to unlock this breathtaking desert landscape.

This isn’t just visual flair—Roaring Sands houses critical endgame content including the Heavenfall campaign, elite world bosses, and hidden secrets scattered across sandy vistas.

Two New Bosses Challenge Veterans

The River Master: Accessible through the Heavenfall campaign in Roaring Sands, this legendary adversary tests your combat mastery with devastating water-based attacks and environmental hazards. The encounter demands coordination, precise timing, and deep understanding of your chosen martial arts discipline.

Feng Ruzhi (World Boss): As noted by AllThings coverage, this open-world threat requires strategic group coordination. Feng Ruzhi appears periodically in Roaring Sands, rewarding successful challengers with exclusive loot, rare crafting materials, and narrative revelations expanding the game’s rich mythology.
