WhatsApp, the popular messaging platform allows users to delete their messages on their platforms in order to be able to make any corrections or to remove something that they may have regretted sending. There are instances where some users may end up deleting messages by mistake, now the company is launching a new feature to ensure that one can undelete their deleted messages if it makes sense.
WhatsApp is testing this feature for Beta users alone:
As per WaBetaInfo, a bunch of new features was spotted on the latest beta build of WhatsApp. The company recently extended the time that you can delete messages, it was bumped to 2 days from 2 hours and now there is also an option to remove the message under the ‘Delete for me’ option.
The latest beta arrives with the undo option for deleted messages. This feature remains exclusive to beta users, it has not made its way to the final build yet but in due time it will be made available in the form of an update. The extended time limit to delete messages is already available to all users but the undo option is not, it can be seen via a pop-up at the bottom with an undo button.
The undo option is accessible only to a handful of beta testers on the Android app with version number 2.22.18.13. The features in the beta build may not necessarily end up making their way to the final app but stay tuned as we will let you know when WhatsApp makes this feature official!
