Western Digital Launches Next-Gen SN850X NVMe SSD In India

Data storage solution company Western Digital on Friday launched a new SSD (solid-state drive) to provide a seamless experience for hardcore gamers in the country. The SSD, titled ‘SN850X NVMe’, comes in three capacities — 1TB, 2TB and 4TB — and can be purchased at a starting price of Rs 13,119, the company said in a statement.

Western Digital is now shipping in India the WD_BLACK™ SN850X NVMe™ SSD, a new addition to its growing WD_BLACK gaming portfolio. The new SSD is optimized for hardcore gamers looking for unparalleled performance. This powerful internal PCIe® Gen4 SSD delivers breakneck read speeds of up to 7,300 MB/s.

Gamers can anticipate an amazing gaming experience with quick load times, rich visuals, and uncompromising thermal performance thanks to decreased latency, predictive loading, and adaptive thermal management. New Game Mode 2.0, which offers additional PC performance-enhancing tools, is also included in the downloadable WD_BLACK Dashboard. The heat sink models are officially licenced for PS5. The WD_BLACK SN850X SSD is available with or without a heat sink. An optional heatsink (1TB and 2TB models) is available to help maintain peak performance and includes RGB lighting to complement any gaming rig.

It will be available for purchase at select Western Digital retailers, e-tailers, resellers, system integrators and the Western Digital Store.
