Welcome to the Jungle OTT Release Date: When Akshay Kumar’s Comedy Hits JioHotstar

Welcome to the Jungle OTT Release Date: Bollywood’s wildest ensemble comedy of 2026 is in theatres — here’s when the chaos comes home.

When Akshay Kumar walks into a jungle with Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, and a cast the size of a small village, you know exactly what you’re signing up for. Welcome to the Jungle, the third chapter in the beloved Welcome franchise, hit theatres on June 26, 2026 — and social media hasn’t been the same since. If you’re searching for the Welcome to the Jungle OTT release date, here’s your complete guide.

Welcome to the Jungle — Quick Info

What Is Welcome to the Jungle About?

The story follows a wealthy businessman-turned-politician who devises a strange plan to convert ₹2,000 crore of black money into clean, legitimate income. His idea: fund what he’s convinced will be the biggest flop in Indian film history.

Naturally, things don’t go as planned. A chaotic shoot in a remote jungle spirals out of control when the film crew gets mistaken for an actual military unit and ends up caught in the middle of a real terrorist plot — mixing action with the signature slapstick humour the franchise is famous for.

Clips from the film have been trending heavily on social media since its release, with many calling it “peak brainrot comedy” and drawing comparisons to Akshay’s Tees Maar Khan for its brand of humour.

When Is the Welcome to the Jungle OTT Release Date on JioHotstar?

Good news: the platform is already confirmed. The film’s poster confirms JioHotstar as its official streaming partner. What’s still awaited is the exact date.

The makers have not officially announced when Welcome to the Jungle will debut on digital platforms, but the comedy film is expected to premiere at the end of August 2026. This aligns with the standard Bollywood window of around eight weeks after theatrical release.

JioHotstar picked up the digital rights even before the theatrical release — so the moment the formal announcement drops, it’s likely to move fast.

Why This One Is Worth Waiting For

Welcome to the Jungle collected over ₹30 crore in its first few days and was headed towards a nearly ₹60 crore first-weekend collection. For a franchise built purely on chaos, loud laughs, and impossible situations, that’s exactly the kind of opening that confirms the formula still works.

Whether you’re a longtime Welcome fan or just in the mood for the most gloriously unhinged comedy of the year, mark your JioHotstar calendar for late August.
