“Welcome To The Jungle”: Akshay Kumar’s Comedy Nears The Finish Line At Rs 130 Crore

Akshay Kumar’s “Welcome To The Jungle” is winding down its theatrical run, and the numbers tell a story of solid success mixed with slightly missed expectations for such a massive franchise name.

Welcome To The Jungle: Fourth Weekend Reality Check

The comedy drama added just Rs. 1 to 1.10 crore in its fourth weekend, pushing the total India nett collection to Rs. 128.75 crore. At this pace, the film is expected to wrap its entire theatrical journey around the Rs. 130 crore mark.

A Success Story With An Asterisk

Here’s the twist: this number is actually underwhelming for a franchise this big. The film was initially tracking toward Rs. 150 crore before losing momentum after its first week. The good news? Production costs stayed reasonable, which keeps “Welcome To The Jungle” solidly in success territory despite the brand’s high expectations.

For context, the original “Welcome” was among the biggest grossers of its era, and even the sequel without Akshay Kumar in the lead managed a strong finish. Against that legacy, this installment’s closing numbers feel modest rather than triumphant.
