Welcome to Netflix The Neighborhood: Cedric’s Feel-Good Sitcom Is Finally Moving In

Big news for anyone who likes a comfort-watch with real heart. The Neighborhood, the CBS comedy starring Cedric the Entertainer and Max Greenfield, is landing on Netflix in the US on Wednesday, November 5, 2026. It’s one of the easiest binge picks of the season.

The timing is quick. The show wrapped its CBS run in May, so it’s barely six months between the finale and the Netflix debut. As far as we can tell, this is its first time streaming on Netflix in the US.

The Neighborhood: Overview

What’s It About?

Dave Johnson is a relentlessly friendly Midwesterner who moves his family into a mostly Black neighborhood in Pasadena, California. His new next-door neighbor, Calvin Butler, is not charmed by all that cheer.

What begins as a culture clash slowly becomes a story about two families who become close friends. It mixes laughs with honest takes on race, class and parenting. One fun quirk: nearly every episode title starts with “Welcome to…”.

Why This Matters?

Netflix has been stacking up network sitcoms all year, including Black-ish, Suburgatory and Mike & Molly. CBS Studios has clearly become a reliable supplier for the streamer. It’s still unclear whether this is part of Netflix’s wider Paramount licensing deal or a separate agreement.

Will It Leave Paramount+?

Probably not. Most of these licensing deals have been non-exclusive, so the show should stay on Paramount+ too. The spin-off Crutch, starring Tracy Morgan, is a separate Paramount+ comedy, and it isn’t expected on Netflix any time soon.
