Four New Faces Heading to Nevermore Academy

Netflix officially confirmed four new cast members joining Wednesday Season 3, and while their exact roles are being kept tightly under wraps, their pedigree speaks volumes.

Chris Sarandon is perhaps the most thrilling addition for Tim Burton loyalists. The legendary actor is beloved for playing the speaking voice of Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas — making his arrival at Nevermore a deeply poetic full-circle moment. He also has major screen credits in Dog Day Afternoon and The Princess Bride, so his presence alone elevates Season 3 to a completely different level.

Noah Taylor brings serious prestige television energy to the mix. Fans of Game of Thrones and Peaky Blinders will instantly recognise him, and his ability to play morally complex, unpredictable characters makes him a perfect fit for the weird and wonderful world of Wednesday Addams.

Oscar Morgan is a rising star to watch. Known for his role in Gotham Knights, he’s also set to appear in the highly anticipated Game of Thrones spin-off A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, making 2026 his breakout year without question.

Kennedy Moyer is the exciting newcomer of the group, with credits in the upcoming HBO series Task and the true-crime film Roofman. Fresh talent injected into an already iconic show — always a good sign.

Tim Burton’s Personal Dream Team

What makes this season feel genuinely special is how personal it is for Tim Burton. He himself confirmed that reuniting with Chris Sarandon, Winona Ryder, Eva Green, and Noah Taylor makes this season “extra special.” In his own words to Netflix, he expressed feeling “very lucky” — which, coming from the man who brought us Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands, means a great deal.

Showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar also released a characteristically cryptic and delicious statement, teasing that Season 3 will welcome “new students, new teachers” and dig up “long-rotting Addams Family secrets.” They even gave a cheeky nod to the fan community — calling out “twisted theories” as inspiration for where the story goes next. Honestly, that’s the kind of energy we love.

The Bigger Picture: A Season Built to Dominate

Season 2 of Wednesday became Netflix’s fifth most-watched English-language TV season ever — a jaw-dropping achievement. With the expanded cast, Tim Burton back at the helm, and a production now underway in Ireland, Season 3 has every ingredient to go even bigger.

Beyond the new additions, the returning core cast is equally impressive: Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Fred Armisen, and more are all confirmed back. Joanna Lumley, who debuted in Season 2, has even been promoted to series regular.
