Watson Season 2 Episode 20 — The Finale That Ends It All, Here’s When & Where to Watch!

Say goodbye to Watson — because the curtain is finally coming down. Episode 20, titled “The Cobalt Fissure,” is not just a season finale; it’s the series finale. CBS pulled the plug in March 2026, just days before the show wrapped up. Here’s everything you need before the last episode airs.

Watson Season 2 Release Date & Time at a Glance

What Is Watson About?

Created by Craig Sweeney, Watson is a CBS medical drama with detective elements — and a bold spin on a classic. Set one year after Sherlock Holmes’ apparent death at the hands of Moriarty, Dr. John Watson (Morris Chestnut) opens the Holmes Clinic in Pittsburgh to treat patients with rare and baffling medical conditions. Naturally, his old life isn’t done with him yet.

What to Expect in Episode 20

Episode 19 left fans completely shaken — Ingrid under police questioning after killing Beck, a life-threatening triplet delivery, Shinwell’s HIV scare, and the biggest jaw-dropper of the season: Sherlock Holmes is alive, but suffering from memory loss.

Now Episode 20 has a mountain to climb. A seemingly random murder outside UHOP draws in a mysterious figure from both Watson’s and Sherlock’s past. The finale must resolve:

• Watson’s brain tumor — will he survive?
• Sherlock’s shocking return — who is he now?
• The future of the entire Holmes Clinic team

The uncomfortable truth? CBS canceled the show just one week before the finale aired, meaning this episode was written without knowing it would serve as the series ender. Manage expectations — but hope for the best.
